So late 7-9 months

Kenton is 8 months old. During 7 months - He's becoming much more mobile. He tries to crawl, can go from laying down to sitting up, has mastered sitting up, cruises in his walker, and pulls up on everything. He still wears 6 mo clothes, snuggly. Size 2 diaper. He loves to be outside and in his stroller. He has mastered being able to feed himself small things like puffs and cheerios. The boy loves to eat!

Went from laying on his belly to turning over and sitting up and said Dada on 3/25
A couple weeks later he said momma.

During his 8th month- He mastered crawling, and  is now able to pull up and walk along things. He is moving from 6 mo clothes to 9 mo. Size 2 diaper. At the end of this month he could hold his sippy cup and drink water out of it by himself. We moved up to the level 2 baby foods. He has tried out some fruits, and of course loves them all. (He still just gets ones container at lunch time, 5-6 4.5oz bottles, and cereal before bed time) his first tooth finally came through but is just barely through. This month my baby became more independent being able to go places on his own and play by himself a little more. 😂 the time is just flying.

During 9 mo-
At the beginning of this month he learned how to wave. We are trying out more foods such as real peas. He just gets so excited to eat. At his checkup at 9 mo 1 wk old he was 23lb 4oz(98th percentile), 30.5 in long (97th percentile for length and head circumference). By the end of this month he had 3 teeth, 2 bottom and 1 top front. At the end of this month he started making noises as he pushes around his tractor and other things with wheels. Also, my favorite part is he started sleeping through the night!

6 & 7 months

Kenton just turned seven months 2 days ago. I swear he is going to be a year old before I know it! So at his 6 months check-up he was 16.1 pounds and 27 inches long. After this appointment we started baby foods. So far we have done sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, peas(he does not like them at all), green beans, pears, and apples. He gets one container at lunch time and still gets a bowl of cereal at night. We also give him the puffs as a snack and he just loves them. He will eat pretty much anything(and grandma Ginny lets him lol). And right after my last post when he was about 5 1/2 months he was on formula full time, and moved into his crib in his nursery ( I did this the first week of school no idea why I waited). It was rough starting out as he woke up 4 times a night, but I was relieved to not have to worry about him rolling around in bed with us. He just goes through phases with his sleeping pattern. Then he got to where he would only wake up twice, then once, and there were a few times he didn't wake up, and now he is back to waking up 2 or 3 times. It makes for one tired momma, especially on clinical days. During his 5th and first part of 6th months he was napping for 2 hours 3 to 4 times a day. Man was that nice, I could get so much done! Now he naps 30 minutes to an hour 3 to 4 times. He has been fighting his evening nap lately. He just started leaning for me if someone else is holding him a week before he turned 7 months. And his version of reaching to be picked up is just kind of lifting his arms. He has recently learned how to jump in his exersaucer and that is his new favorite thing now. Also recently he is getting a lot better at sitting up on his own, but still gets distracted every once in a while and falls over. I have taken out his sling in his bathtub and he LOVES it! He started out splashing with his feet and now likes to sit up and splash with his hands. I think I get just as wet as he does. He laughs a lot more now and sometimes just randomly. Recently he has picked up coughing, and fake coughs to get my attention. Too cute. He recently moved up sizes and is now in a 2 diaper, 6 month clothes, and 9 month sleepers. Oh my word is he active now. Never wants to sit still. He rolls and pushes with his legs to get across the floor, sometimes he puts his head down and pushes with his legs to get to the other side of the blanket. I can't imagine when he starts to crawl, I am going to be busy trying to keep things off the floor. He loves tummy time and to be able to roll around and play with any toy that makes noise. But also will sit still and listen to books being read to him as he looks at the pages. He has chunked up so much in the last month, you wouldn't believe that he used to be skin and bones. That Grandma Ginny feeds him good when he is at her house. He has yet to figure out his walker, still usually moves backwards but not on purpose. Still don't have any teeth yet, they haven't seemed to bother him much the past month other than the last few days. I just love watching him grow and discover and develop a little personality. Oh I also have to add in the last couple of days I noticed that when he cries he sounds like he is saying momma. I am ready for him to really say it. Brian loves to act like he hears him say daddy. Kenton just lights up when he sees Brian, it is the sweetest thing! He will lean for him as well. Coming back to add that at 7mo 5 days he was 20.6 pounds and 27 3/4 inches long, and his head circumference is just advice the 97th percentile lol! Oh my. Now for the pictures...
He loves to ride like a big boy in his stroller and look over the side while we take walks.
